sometimes i like to sit back and go through old family photos and think to myself that 50% of these marriages were arranged and one of the main prerequisites was that the future spouse had to have left leaning political beliefs

and for the marriages that were love marriages, they all met at little gathering and meet and greet, student rally type things which were super focused on communism and socialism and general left leaning politics

another aunty of mine locked eyes with my uncle when he was passionately talking about women’s rights and she yelled out about how he knew nothing and he yelled back that indeed he did know nothing and she said yes you know nothing and then they got married
