Just another blog by an ambiguously-gendered primeval monster.

Likes: terrorizing mortals; libraries; serious eyeshadow; chain wallets; suspiciously lifelike marble statues

Dislikes: people who aren't statues yet; bros; Perseus

I have literally nothing against OTPs but the more I read about them, the more I realize I don’t have them

like, the closest thing I have to an OTP is Rowland and Genevieve and I’m pretty sure that’s not how you OTP

After trying from a different location, trying without Missing E, etc., I’m now wondering whether Tumblr is having really nasty intermittent audio posting issues, or whether “Wuste” and Tumblr are somehow mutually exclusive.  I was able to post Morrissey yesterday, but I’m on day three of attempting “Wuste” and no dice.

[Cover of Faith, by The Cure: a gray-on-gray image with large ambiguous shapes in the background, grass(?) in the foreground]

Anyway, I haven’t listened to this album for 21 years.  I didn’t like it then, but I do like it now.

The problem with sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, classist, ableist, etc., remarks and “jokes” is not that they’re offensive, but that by relying for their meaning on harmful cultural narratives about privileged and marginalized groups they reinforce those narratives, and the stronger those narratives are, the stronger the implicit biases with which people are indoctrinated are. That’s real harm, not just “offense.

I Don’t Care If You’re Offended by Scott Madin. (via futureabortiondoctor)

Actually, emotional harm is also real harm.

Your Boss-Man is an idiot. Also, pretty please promote the Gormenghast books whenever you have the chance, they’re excellent but highly underrated. Messed-up, creepy “fantasy” about degenerate weirdoes in a Gothic castle.

I think these definitely qualify as a classic.  …And I looked, and we no longer have a copy.  What in the hell.
