I love this performance and makeup to break up is one of my favourite Banshees songs its a shame it wasn’t on the first album. I read somewhere that siouxsie wrote the lyrics based on all her insecurities referring to her nose as a “grotesque abstract”
I am so pleased to hear corroboration that she wrote this. I bought the double-edition of The Scream primarily to get a nice version of this song.
